What We Offer
Our products are centered on high quality materials and professional installation to create the most energy efficient, comfortable, and healthy living spaces possible. Now you don't have to compromise on these important qualities for your home or business.
What we don't offer is just as important. We do not offer conventional insulation systems as our primary product, because we do not focus on initial installed cost. We understand the up-front cost of any insulation system is very low compared to the total construction cost and the ongoing expense of heating and cooling. We are focused on providing the best overall value. If we do things right, by creating a well insulated and sealed environment that can be affordably heated and cooled, you will save money! Our primary goal is to utilize improved technology options to save you money and increase your property value. Comfort, cleaner air, and a quieter living space are just fringe benefits!
Spray Foam Insulation – a Superior Choice
When it comes to building technology, the most efficient homes are insulated with spray foam insulation. People may rationalize that the initial installed cost of conventional insulation systems, such as fiberglass or cellulose, is lower. They are right, but we have not heard one credible and convincing argument about any other insulation system performing better or delivering better overall value. There is no other system proven in testing to be an air barrier; no other system that seals off air leaks and shuts down drafts the way spray foam does; no other system that expands in place; no other system that won't settle or sag, maintaining top performance year after year without degradation. We researched alternatives before starting our business and selected spray foam as our primary insulation system because it is the best – bar none!
Open-Cell Foam
The workhorse for the St. Louis area is open-cell spray foam insulation. This is a cost-effective, high performance spray foam system that air seals and insulates. It expands in place and fully adheres to the surface to which it is applied. It is a soft, lightweight foam that is blown with water and dries just seconds after application! If you want energy efficiency, but do not need the added features of closed-cell foam, this is the practical option. Of course, our team will help you make the correct choice. Sometimes both foam types are used within the same building to meet the unique needs of the different spaces within.
Closed-Cell Foam
A less commonly used spray foam in the St. Louis area is closed-cell spray foam insulation. This material offers the following advantages over open-cell spray foam: higher R-value per inch; effective water vapor barrier; increases building strength by essentially gluing it together with a dense and tough insulating material. The primary disadvantage of closed-cell over open-cell is that it costs more than open-cell.
Exterior Foam
We also apply exterior foam systems. These are very tough foam systems primarily designed as roofing systems. They can also be used to insulate material storage tanks. Special coatings are then applied for heat reflection and enhanced durability.

Professional Services
Our installers are professionally trained and certified to ensure maximum benefits are attained. Several of our staff has also gone through extensive training to become certified energy auditors. This gives us a comprehensive understanding of what it takes to make buildings safe and more energy efficient. Our expertise can even be valuable to make sure proper HVAC sizing is selected. It is very possible that our insulating system will allow smaller, more efficient units to be utilized. We have also invested in thermal imaging and computer modeling to further deepen our understanding of building science. When you choose Foam Engineers, you not only get the peace of mind of a quality materials, you can also rest assured that we understand how to apply it so you get the maximum benefits available!
